Today is MLK day and the girls have the day off so I took it off so Tori can stay home and sleep in and get some reading done. She is rereading Twilight. I have finished my challenges for the day and got caught up on my layouts for project 365. The First Lego League state competition in which Tori's team got an invitation to last month at the local qualification tournment. we went on Friday to stay the night and the Girls had a chance to swim. Gracie was not feeling well so she missed some of the judging but even with that they did a great job and took 2nd place in teamwork.. I am so proud of all of them but especially proud of Tori because she has really made leaps in her leadership durning this whole experience. Her team has even made it known that they feel the same way. I am looking forward to a little slower pace this week

I am right on track with project 365. I have taken a picture every day and have scrapped the first layout. I have decided to do each month in the same color group. I have started the the snow paper from CTMH. I think it looks pretty good. Yesterday was the Harbor Hoilday party. I won a 50.00 gift card to Walmart. I guess it was not to bad. Don Wilson won the Laptop and Dot Wentworth won the trip. Lucky them. tylan was snowmobling this weekend and Tori went to Eugene with Jack to celebrate Kalee's birthday and watch a movie(Bedtime Stories).

project 365

Ok here I am blogging again. I am impressed even with my self. Tori had her 2nd to last Lego league meeting tonight. I am glad we are closing this chapter in our life. The Competition will be Jan 16, 2009. I am really proud of the Girls winning their trophy and getting their invitation to go to state, but I will be glad to get it over. The trip out to Umpqua will not be one missed.

Tylan shaved his mustache on Sunday night-it came as a total shock to me. I am still not used to it. He does not look like the same person at all. Today I ws talking to him on the phone and I forgot thtat he has shaved, but when I got home to see him I was totally caught off guard. I told him that he needed to sleep on the couch because I don't think my husband would like me sleeping with a stranger.

Happy New year!!! I can not believe that it is the 2nd of January 2009. I was sitting here wondering where the year had gone and I came across this Project 365 so here I go. I am going to try to do this challenge this year. I was going to buy Becky Higgins kit but it has sold out. Apparently I am not the only one who thought it was a good idea. I don't know how often I will post, but once again I will try to do better at keeping up. I started yesterday with a picture of my Christmas cards and a picture of Tori reading today.

OMGosh I didn't realize that I started this 2 months ago

I am totally shocked that it has been 2 months since I started this Blog and this is onl the 2nd time I have posted an entry on it. I am going to try to post at least once a week. Anyway here I go. I have started a new challenge. I realize that as we get older our tastes change, so I found this site that was hosting a challenge that was "The ABC's of 2008", and it features favorites of mine for every letter of the alphabet. Tori is going to do it also. I have been having fun and I think it will be something fun to do in a couple of years to see how mch my favorites have changed. How I got started was to sit down with paper & a pencil a write down some of my favs and then make a list in alpha order where they went. I have not filled in the whole alphabet yet, but I am working on it. I also tried to use stash to complete it. I am doing an 8x8 album that I have had for a couple of years.

Scrap Your Stash

I did a challenge last month on the Transparent Touches Message board. I discovered that I love to do challenges and that being challenged to use my stash was the best thing that I have done. Since the challenge on that board was over I decided to challenge my self. I will be posting challenges here as I decide what they will be.

This was the first challenge I did. It had a lot stash used on it from some pockets off of Tori old blue jeans, a bunch of stuff just laying on my desk to the paper that came from an old scrapjammies page kit.
